Season Two - Episode 4:
"Mini Curtains and an Ouji Coord"

"Ship's Log, Stardate 94108.37:
I made mini curtains!

I just used valances and tension rods!

My cubby furniture has pretty standard 11.5"x11.5" openings.  I replaced my old 11"x11" collapsable cubbies with 11-18" mini tension rods, and some 12x60" lace valances, which I cut into thirds to get 12x20" sections.

The extra 8" of width is so it can nicely ruffle up within the space.  With sewing sheers, I carefully cut a straight line up the center of each "set of curtain", but not through where the rod inserts.

Pushpins hold my tiebacks in place.  They are 6.5" down from the top of the cubby space on either side.  The ones pulled back showcase nice items, while the ones that are closed conceal neatly folded stacks of dog park clothes.

New chandelier and "wallpaper".

Ta-da!

This weekend was Fourth of July weekend, so naturally there have been sporadic fireworks going off since Friday.

"We're just gonna stay close to you mom, no reason..."

Which means I have had lots of very close company since Friday...
As in within 5 feet of me in every room, including bathrooms.

Look at Hunter and me, like a couple of Han Solos!
So I apologize if these guys (and their fur) show up a lot in these coord photos...

The bottom portion is pretty much a repeat with the F+F breeches and my black boots.  I absolutely love the crisp look of wearing these boots over the pant cuffs instead of folding them down again, and these pants were an A+ purchase.  I wish they also came in deep chocolate or dark gray.

The vest is my very first buttcape - I took the plunge and bought this one from Fanplusfriend (because who doesn't enjoy a safe gamble?) and other than the front pocket being a little narrow to comfortably shove my hand into, I am very pleased with this item for the price.

The blouse is a vintage find from from etsy.  A girlfriend from work helped pick it out for an older coord I was planning for a trip to Canada with friends.  It ended up being versatile enough to work with the new Chantilly dress I picked up while there, too!

The hat was one of my first big accessory projects, and I still love it!  This one, and the new bicorn I made, sit by each other in little cloth bags on my closet shelf, but I would like a case to display them, especially if I made more.

I kept hair and makeup styles simple, only using a little crease shadow, matte blush, and a deep lip stain on the inner parts for depth, and instead played with hair and brow volume for a slightly more natural look, and something that wouldn't clash so much with a more masculine coordinate.

That's all for this report!  Not sure just yet what is in store for next week, but I still need to make a coord with the new Fanplusfriend lace up blouse I purchased with the vest and breeches at the very least!

Super brave dog wants you to know he's just in here to reassure ME.

Have a Happy Fourth!  Bear signing off!"

This frequency will remain open for response.
