"Ship's Log, Stardate 93931.89:
Behold.
Small haul, but I'm pretty excited about it!
I have been using a little cat coin purse from a Muchacha Achachamu mook to match coords featuring the Queen Cat print for a while now (I often wear the tights, dress, and beret, separately, so that particular print gets a lot of air time), and my biggest complaint about it is that, well, it's a coin purse, and not a practical one.
But this new bag is not only mature enough for me to use with day to day outfits,
it's large and sturdy enough to be a functional daily handbag.
I repeat:
IT IS LARGE AND STURDY ENOUGH TO BE A FUNCTIONAL DAILY HANDBAG.
I am able to fit my phone, badge, keys, wallet, makeup pouch, sunglasses case, water bottle, and a snack inside.
It comes with a detachable shoulder strap and hand strap, and has one modest inside pocket (about cell phone sized) made of the same burgundy inside material. The material feels very durable, not an easily scratched bag, and the hardware feels sturdy as well, not like anything would snap off. The zipper doesn't feel delicate or like it would jam.
There is a detail not shown in the stock photos, well, two - the brand name is beautifully stamped into each of the two zipper pulls, and onto the back of the purse as well. It looks like stamped leather, I love it!
On to the pants!
I already own a pair from Putumayo, one of the few brands with bottoms that actually fit my, er, bottom, and I love them! The problem is they are wine, so every coordinate with them is just that, a coordinate, featuring the color wine. I wanted a black pair I could dress up for boystyle, or just throw on casually.
So there weren't any surprises here, same fit and feel as last time, and I liked it enough to get a new color, 10/10 would recommend. It came with LOTS of spare buttons, too, as you can see from the unboxing vid.
Since I haven't done something new with them yet,
here is an old pic of the wine pair.

I'm really happy with this order, and hopefully soon I have some new boystyle coords to report back with! The first thing I want to try is the pants with the Atelier Pierrot bolero I got last - wish me luck!
Oh, one last thing!
Just when I thought this bag couldn't get any better, I grabbed my tablet...
AND zips comfortably.
Suck it, Porter Bear.*
