My attempt at a lolita capsule wardrobe has failed, yet proven itself to be incalculably valuable.

I have more than 33 items. I have more than 48 items. It's a lolita wardrobe, there is nothing "capsule" about it.
But by going through the motions, selling and donating the pieces that just don't make me feel comfortable when I wear them, keeping a catalogue, and choosing items for their versatility within the whole wardrobe, I have been able to cycle through my main pieces more evenly, and more appropriately fill in needed gaps, like in the blouse department.
It has also made me realize that having mostly solid and casual pieces might not be a bad way to go. By far, they are the easiest for me to wear out more regularly, even though I find formal coords more interesting and fun to put together. Now that I'm faced with how frequently I'm wearing the same handful of dresses, I am also using the doc to make sure I am switching up the other pieces I wear with them so I am not stuck in safesville with the same coords all the time.

I gotta level with ya, not much else has happened this week - I haven't ordered anything, gone anywhere in particular, or made anything new, and my room still looks the same, which is a little weird for me, but I guess I have had a pretty full plate lately. I am definitely up for caucus round 3 for example. Oh well. Here, have some dog.
