King Casual was the theme of the week...

I don't know how to flatteringly-selfie in public...

It was super hot, and I had a lot to do this week, both at home and at work, but I was able to grab a few shots of what I planned to wear for a friend's birthday party:

No petti - not even lolita - not even once - too hot!

Yes, I am wearing blue ankle socks, fight me! I couldn't find any of my brown, ivory, or burgundy socks, so I just grabbed one of my favorites (racer blue, whoo!) I was not throwing on synthetic tights or thicker (though admittedly, better matching) socks, but hey, it was a party and I'm pretty sure no one noticed or cared.

I was a frizzy mess by evening, but I did a side-part to hide my sidecut and a low, hair wraped side-pony, and just left the ends loose and lightly curled, and went with mostly nude makeup.

Headgear is the Loyal Rosette headband (bow removed - it's attached to my bag instead) and a chocolate heart bow charm, and instead of a full sized crown, I went with a low-key necklace.

My friend's really know how to party...

My ipsy glam bag also arrived, but I haven't really had a chance to go through everything yet. I am glad that I got the shade of nail polish that I wanted, though, the dark red color! I really love the bag art this month, too!

I was a little exhausted to take better photos and do a full review just yet, so to make up for it, I'll get a little more in depth in the next post.

I am really looking forward to using that mask and the nail polish especially, and there are a few other products, like some new natural lipsticks, that I'd also like to share with you (soft and lovely looking, not too harsh for lolita, but not too babyish either!).
