👾. . . . . . . . . .
FOUR MONTHS AGO, Lord Bear's unit was reassigned to the 32nd District. Bear, Clark, Hunter, and Mr. J are now settled into their new command center.
With unpacking complete, the next phase of Bear's mission begins: mastering ouji.
Far off in the distance, Alice and the Pirates has released a new hat. Along with it, A NEW CHALLENGE...

Welcome back, *friends! My weekly reports have resumed!
*And by friends, I mean friend. Hey man, my readership is quality, not quantity!
The new ETA for these reports is Sunday at 22:00. I will also begin taking them far more seriously due to the super cereal nature of their content.
As to the content, there will be some slight changes. I will still continue to record all purchases, events, tutorials, and coordinates from each hebdomadal period. However, now that I am officially branching out into ouji, these will now be recorded while wearing pants.

So here's what has happened since my last report:
As to the crafting...
Yup. Book clutches.
Just simple magnetic faux-book boxes with some pleather loops tacked in place. They are super handy, though! I very specifically needed to carry a couple of things I did not want crushed (feathers and wiring), yet stylishly.
Moby Dick was a little thin (and also requires a ribbon to tie it shut, which is waaaaay too fussy for me on the go, so I might add a snap later), but the other one was wide enough, and the way I nailed the straps, one on each opposite corner, prevents it from coming open as soon as I hold the strap. Even when I'm running with my phone and makeup...
I sewed the pleather bits (salvaged from a toggle button set) both for the look, and because the glue holding it was a joke. I nailed the assembled pieces into the book, and for the ends that stuck out a little (most go directly into a thick portion, and don't show on the other side), curled them back around with jewelry pliers.
I ended up using some black ribbons instead, and used the gold chain on the one with the gold accents.
The hat is in progress...
So aside from easy purse-crafting, I saw the Majestic Pirate Hat by Alice and the Pirates and was immediately tempted to go out and buy it and a whole bunch of purple pieces to go with it... But since that's not in the budget right now, I decided to D.I.Y. my own version.
I dusted off the old ultrabraid and tentatively stitched into the shape I'd like it to have. Next, I'll need to buy some trims, chains, and buttons for it! I already have some tiny bears for it...
I have also ordered some staples from Fanplusfriend's "Beyond the End of Time" and "Whale Bones Bay" collections: a blouse, a vest, and some breeches. There is a three week making time, but I am hoping the items I got are straightforward enough in design to be nice looking pieces.
Until those arrive, I am wearing the only pants I got - the Putumayo pumpkin pants.
So I tried to mix it up a little with the other pieces, I hope you like it!
I braided my hair from back to front, and rolled the braid around to the side, tucked it into itself, and bobby pinned it in place. It's too hot for a wig, and I should be able to figure out my hair well enough to incorporate it into this fashion, at least in some way, by now, so I'm going for it.
After all, practice is the only way to get there! Until next time, friend!
Bear, signing off. Goodnight!"
This frequency will remain open for response.
